About Oracle Exalogic Systems
Oracle’s Exalogic systems contain Compute Nodes, ZFS Storage Systems, InfiniBand Switches and a Cisco Management Switch.
The compute nodes usually act as a cluster of Linux servers with Oracle’s virtualization technology installed with the VMs stored on the ZFS Storage Appliances.

Requirements
The following patches are required for Hardware KM 1.9.00:
- P1645: Monitoring through Oracle Hardware Management Agent
- P1653: Oracle/Sun Out-of-Band Monitoring using SNMP
- P1655: Monitoring of Oracle/Sun Infiniband DCS Switches via SNMP
- P1681: Support for Cisco Ethernet Switches
The PATROL agent used to monitor the Exalogic system should be installed on a Virtual Machine to remotely monitor all components.
